Born on August 3, 1989, in Cleveland, Ohio, Christopher was the beloved son of Darrell Sharp and the late Robin Matthews. He attended Warrensville Heights High School, where he built lasting friendships and developed the values of kindness, commitment, and perseverance that guided him throughout his life.
To his family and friends, Chris was known for his infectious smile, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. His faith and family were at the center of his life, and he was known for always offering support, encouragement, and a helping hand to those around him.
On July 25, 2010, Chris married Danielle Sharp (Debose), the love of his life. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and faith while raising their three children, Jayden, Arianna, and Carter. As a husband and father, Chris dedicated himself to caring for his family, guiding his children, and creating memories they will hold close forever.
Chris also devoted much of his life to serving others. He proudly served in the military, including a deployment to Afghanistan, where he answered the call to protect his country. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to public service as a firefighter at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he courageously responded to emergencies and worked to keep others safe.
Those who served alongside Chris remember him as a dependable colleague, compassionate teammate, and dedicated firefighter who approached every situation with professionalism and courage. His willingness to face danger on behalf of others reflected the character and integrity that defined his life. Away from his duties, Chris enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, playing video games, and working on projects around his home. His humor and ability to make others smile were among the qualities that made him deeply loved.
Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Robin Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Sharp; his children, Jayden, Arianna, and Carter Sharp; his father, Darrell Sharp; his brother, Darrell Sharp Jr.; his grandmother, Anna Sharp; and extended family members, friends, fellow service members, firefighters, and community members who will continue to honor his memory.
Tributes have been shared by those whose lives were touched by Chris through his military service, firefighting career, friendships, and acts of kindness. Many remember him as someone who consistently placed others before himself and whose dedication, humor, and compassion left a lasting impact.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Chism Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life honoring Christopher’s faith and remarkable journey will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, with cremation to follow the service.
